Who’s it for?

This workshop is targeted at confident beginners who want to build their skills and knowledge.

 

In this hands-on workshop we will cover:

·         Foundation rows and magic ring

·         Alternative stitches for the beginning of rows

·         Invisible joins and managing seam lines

·         Substituting techniques in your work

 

The focus will be on practising the stitch techniques and identifying the pros and cons of each technique and when to use it, including application in any current projects you are undertaking.

 

Duration: 3 hours

Saturday 5th April 9.30am-12.30pm  

 Prerequisites:

It will be assumed that you are able to crochet a swatch of fabric in basic stitches – double crochet and treble crochet (UK terms) / single crochet and double crochet (US terms) and complete a traditional granny square. 

What to bring:

·         Yarn of your choice – we recommend bringing 8ply or 10ply yarn in a solid, light colour

·         Crochet Hook suitable for use with your yarn

·         Scissors

·         Stitch markers

·         2.5mm or 3.0mm standard crochet hook (optional)

Yarn and hooks can be purchased on the day of the workshop.
